On September 1, 1999, Cherie departed from SF Intl airport for the Philippines to attend Calvary Chapel Bible School and Missions Training Center in Dumaguete City. God has put a 'call' on her life and when the Lord says..."GO!"...she wants to be ready to go. Part of her training will be a total immersion in the Filipino culture and Tagalog language, as well as having a strong emphasis on expository teaching with an inductive study foundation. Along with a strong teaching base the school emphasizes practical application of what is learned in the classroom. Each student is required to assist in the maintenance & operation of the training center during the school week. They are required to be involved in some regular ministry with their local Calvary Chapel fellowship or other suitable ministry. Calvary Chapel's goal is providing solid teaching & practical training as they equip their students for ministry.
