From table scraps...to THE first bite... Ahhh...the aroma, the lift of essence, wafting all around, drawing me...do my eyes deceive me?! All this epicurean delight placed before me--on a fork, no doubt!--and, in the quiet of the moment I reached for that succulent morsel given to me by my human Bill. Ahhh...I acted with finesse, not in my usual way of frantic and wildness. It wasn't that many MILES ago when I was taunted by dainty morsels dangling before me; a feat it was, to secure it in one gulp! But those eye-ballin' days are few and far between now. I have my own chair at the table; and, I can watch everything going on. It is because I've chosen to be properly polite, that makes for a very comfortable dining arrangement between myself and my humans. Every morning, my humans pull up the window shade so I can keep a watchful eye on what's happening outside, and enjoy basking in the warmth from the sun. My humans are doing right by me--Yep--plenteous food and water, clean litter box, fresh air, soft and cuddly jackets, sweaters, pillows, laps...YEP!...life in the 5th-wheel IS the CAT'S MEOW...purrr-urrrp...
MILES & MILES LATER... Now I don't need to rehearse again that HOME is where HERE is except when THERE becomes HERE and so on and so on...But this goes without saying that HOME has been a "moving" experience. (pause) Oooookay... My humans pulled out of Morgan Hill, CA November 1, letting the GOOD TIMES roll as we trucked south, then east on I-10. Saying GOOD-BYE to sunny California, and HELLO to the Grand Canyon state, Arizona, my humans, Bill & Nancy visited family and friends in the Phoenix/Tucson areas. Soon enough, we were back on the road (I-10), leaving Arizona, and scooting through the southwestern corner of New Mexico, passing into the borders of the Lone Star State, TEXAS. We arrived in Plano Texas on November 6th. It doesn't matter where we are...California, Arizona, Texas... my humans are always on the go--birthday parties, family dinners, church activities, soccer games, basketball games, and--to beat the band--these retirees STILL work!!! Yeah, you're telling me--some days my humans are gone from morning til night. And I don't get any lap-time until late at night. Hummmph! Sppfft! Go ahead... take a look...see what I mean?
